Operations Manager – Scaffolding
Location: Cairns, Queensland
Permanent full-time | $120,000–$140,000 per annum + company car, phone and performance bonuses

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of residential and commercial scaffolding projects, based in Cairns.
This is an opportunity for a practical, confident leader who understands scaffolding operations and can bring together people, resources and project schedules to deliver safe, efficient and profitable outcomes.
You will oversee multiple projects, lead large teams and work closely with clients, supervisors and site stakeholders. With scope to improve systems and strengthen operational performance, you will play a key role in how projects are planned, resourced and delivered.
Your responsibilities

• Manage daily operations across multiple residential and commercial scaffolding projects.
• Plan and coordinate labour, equipment and materials to meet project requirements.
• Lead and support supervisors and site teams, setting clear expectations and maintaining accountability.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets and progress, resolving issues before they affect delivery.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance across all sites.
• Build effective working relationships with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Improve scheduling, communication and operational processes to support consistent project delivery.

What you will bring

• At least five years’ experience in project or operations management within scaffolding or construction.
• A current Advanced Scaffolding licence — essential.
• Proven experience managing large teams and coordinating multiple projects.
• A track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills.
• The confidence to make decisions, manage competing priorities and address performance issues.
• Experience using project management software and site management systems.

Qualifications in Project Management, Operations Management or Construction Management will be highly regarded.
