Podiatrist - Contract

An Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) in Northwest and Lower Gulf Queensland is seeking a Podiatrist to join its dedicated team. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary professionals providing holistic primary health and aged care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat a variety of foot and lower limb conditions
• Conduct diabetic foot assessments
• Deliver culturally safe, patient-centred podiatry services
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Educate patients and other health professionals in chronic disease self-management
• Maintain high-quality documentation and patient communication
• Manage admin duties including referrals, stock, and handovers

What You’ll Bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Podiatry with AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
• Strong case management and assessment skills
• Commitment to Indigenous health and community-led care
• Ability to work independently and in remote locations
• Willingness to travel and stay in communities for several days at a time

Additional Requirements:

• Current C Class Driver’s License (QLD preferred)
• Satisfactory police check
• Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
