Project Manager – Construction (Scaffolding)

Location: Cairns, Queensland

Permanent full-time | $120,000–$140,000 per annum + company car, phone and performance bonuses

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of residential and commercial scaffolding projects in Cairns.
This role suits a practical, organised leader who understands scaffolding and construction projects from start to finish. You will take ownership of projects from scoping and planning through to handover, making sure each one is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the right standard.
You will manage multiple projects at once, lead site teams and supervisors, and act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders. There is also scope to improve project systems and processes as the business grows.

Your responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and deliver multiple residential and commercial scaffolding projects from start to completion.
• Review project scopes, drawings and requirements, and work with estimating on quotes and variations.
• Allocate labour, equipment and materials to meet project timelines.
• Lead and support supervisors and site teams, setting clear expectations and holding them accountable.
• Track project budgets, costs, schedules and progress, and resolve issues before they affect delivery.
• Manage safety, quality and compliance on every project, including SWMS, inspections and site documentation.
• Act as the main client contact, providing regular updates and managing changes in scope.
• Coordinate with builders, contractors and other trades on site.
• Improve project reporting, scheduling and communication to keep delivery consistent.

What you will bring

• At least three- five years’ project management experience in scaffolding or construction.
• A proven record of managing multiple projects at once and delivering on time and within budget.
• Experience leading site teams and supervisors.
• Strong skills in budgeting, cost control and scheduling.
• The ability to read and interpret drawings and project specifications.
• Clear communication and confidence dealing with clients, builders and stakeholders.
• Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and construction compliance.
• Experience using project management software and site management systems.

Qualifications in Project Management or Construction Management will be highly regarded. A relevant scaffolding licence will be considered an advantage.
